Human Resources Manager

Department: Home Office - TCHN
Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Are you a strategic HR leader passionate about supporting people and building strong teams? The Carpenter Health Network is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and help drive HR excellence across our growing healthcare organization.

The Human Resources Manager leads and oversees HR operations, ensuring compliance, effective talent management, and positive employee relations. This role partners with leadership to support organizational goals while managing hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and supervise HR staff
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and pre-employment processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Lead employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution
  • Advise leadership on performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices
  • Oversee background checks, credentialing, and compliance tracking
  • Manage HR metrics, reports, audits, and documentation
  • Partner with payroll, benefits, and external vendors
  • Support employee exit processes and conduct exit interviews
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and act as an employee advocate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in HR reporting, workforce analytics, and department optimization
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Office
  • HR certification (SHRM or PHR) preferred
