Position Summary:
As a Scheduler at Homedica, you play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient care for our patients. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing provider schedules, organizing patient appointments, confirming visit logistics, and acting as a liaison between clinical teams, patients, and families. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and compassionate healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments in coordination with provider availability and geographic zones
  • Maintain accurate appointment records and logs in the scheduling software
  • Coordinate with intake staff, medical providers, and support teams to ensure smooth patient onboarding and follow-up
  • Monitor daily schedules and adjust as needed for cancellations, emergencies, or priority visits
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and referral sources via phone and email
  • Support overall office workflow and assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience in a medical, home health, or hospice office setting strongly recommended
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in computer systems and data entry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Goal-oriented, dependable, and professional demeanor
  • Strong customer service and team collaboration abilities
